I thought it was time to talk about this, so here goes. I am a middle
child with two sisters on each end. I was potty trained at about the
age of three or four, or at least this is that's what my folks thought.
For years I would wet the bed and have poopy accidents. For this, my
punishment would be to be made to stand for several hours in front of
someone with my dirty underwear over my head as a form of humiliation,
as this was thought that this would cure me of my situation; yet all it
did was made me hate even more. When this person was gone for long
periods of time my mother was more understanding and would let me wear
diapers at night, or when we would visit my aunt's. Now, understand
this was when I was still very young.

As time went on and I grew up the wetting pretty much stopped around
the age of 13, but still happened at times and the poop stains never
went away, so as grew I learned ways to protect myself by either
stealing diapers or making them out of whatever I could find. I have
seen several urological doctors for this and they all say it's due to
nerve damage, as when I was young I was hit many times in the head with
bricks, hammers, wood, etc.

As I grew older the problem got worse, so on the advice of a doctor,
given the fact that this nerve damage could not be reversed and having
undergone many, many more operations for other things, I wear diapers,
cloth or disposable 24/7, and I am not ashamed of it. I accept it as a
part of life to me it as normal as anyone who puts on a pear of
underwear every day, so I would say to all others out there, it's
nothing to be ashamed of or something that needs to be hidden if it
can't be fixed. Learn to live with it and go on with life. To me,
personally, it's better than wearing a bag all the time, and unless you
tell someone or they see the diaper, explain to them why. They will
either understand or they won't.
