DRY TIME
Dear Parent(s),
CONGRATULATIONS, you purchased DRY TIME, the complete
guide to ending all types of incontinence found in children.
This package contains traditional methods of correcting bed-
wetting, daytime wetting and night and day messing as well.
Our traditional methods are extremely effective and have
been used for many decades with very high success rates. We
don't believe these methods will stop the problem overnight,
however, most cases are ended within a couple of months. 80
percent of children who have incontinent problems are boys
so from here we will refer to the child as he or him.
DO NOT USE OUR METHODS ON ANY CHILDREN WHO ARE PHYSICALLY OR
MENTALLY HANDICAPPED or UMDER THE AGE OF FOUR YEARS OF AGE!!
Our methods do not work for children under the age of 4
years old because they are still considered toddlers and it
is perfectly normal for them to wet and/or mess themselves.
These methods will not work for children over the age of 16
year either because they are considered adults and it is up
to them to make own decisions about their own problems.
It is important that you be a firm parent! We believe
"SPARE THE ROD AND SPOIL THE CHILD". If you do not take
control of this problem it will (in most cases) continue for
many years. That means many years of washing unnecessary
bedding and clothing. The responsibility rests with the
parents and if you do not take control who will? A recent
study shows that 87 percent of all children who wet their
beds after the age of 3 continue wetting into their teens.
Being firm does not mean beating the child with a belt but
there are other corrective methods you can use to achieve
the same result. Being a firm parent does not mean you do
not love your child it means quite the opposite you must
take control and avoid future embarrassment on behalf of the
child. You are much old and wiser than your child and it's
up to you to determine what is right and what is wrong. You,
the parent are better equipped to make decisions for your
children. If you take control of your child's bedwetting
(before it lasts years and years) you are doing the child a
favor. When a child wets the bed his self esteem is usually
low sometimes leading to depression. You have the power to
end their bed-wetting and to possibly avoid any future
depression.
Other organizations offer treatments that last for
months or in most cases years while they continue to bill
you. DRY TIME believes these treatments aren't good for any
members of the family. It certainly is not good for the
child because they are the ones who suffer while the company
continues to try new cures. The use of bed-wetting or
training pants on your child is not a remedy, all you are
doing is hiding the problem and this is the same as not
doing anything. You may as well let him go on wetting the
bed it is certainly is a lot cheaper. Bed-wetting is
something that is not done consciously that is why these
types of cures do not work. Most children do not wet the bed
consciously, they do it while they are sleeping. Our method
brings the problem from the sub-conscience mind to the
conscience mind. This is why we have a higher success rate
than many other companies. We feel the most important thing
is getting control over the bed-wetting ("NIPPING IT IN THE
BUD SO TO SPEAK") -that is why other companies fall short of
their goals they offer no control method they just want to
cover up the problem and hope is goes away. This problem
will almost never go away all by it self. DRY TIME charges
you a one time affordable fee and give you all the tools to
gaining control of the problem, all in one package. We have
enclosed different remedies to control all types of bed-
wetting.
BED-WETTING
Urination during sleep after the age of three, by which
time normal bladder control is ordinarily expected and
established. Bed- wetting is and early childhood habit and
if left untreated it is probable it will carry into
adulthood.
USING OUR REMEDIES
1. Simply pick out the symptom(s) that best describes your
Child's wetting from the list and then go to the section.
2. Read the entire section at least twice then follow the
instructions to the letter!! These methods have been used
for decades and have the highest success rate for stopping
all forms of wetting.

SYMPTOMS
If your child is a bed-wetter between the age of 4 and
6 he is not alone. The key to ending this problem is
conditioning your child to wake up as they wet themselves.
See section #1
If your child is a bed-wetter between the age of 7 and
9 chances are he goes to school with another child who also
wets their bed. Bed-wetting at this age could very well
effect your child the rest of his life. It is important to
end it so he doesn't carry it into his teens. See section #2
If your child is a bed-wetter between the age of 10 -
15 you can be sure it will effect his personality the rest
of his life. You need to take drastic steps to stop the
problem. It already has gone on way too long. AT THIS AGE
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR ANY NORMAL CHILD TO WET
HIS BED LIKE A BABY. You can be sure he is the only child in
his entire grade who is a bed-wetter and if he's over 13 he
is the only child in the entire school and that is why it is
so important you end this immediately. See section #2
If your child wets and/or messes themselves this is
called infantilism. This problem is more embarrassing for
the parent than for the child. I f you don't treat this
problem unfortunately it does progressively get worse. It is
hard to imagine something worse than being at a mall
shopping with a wet and messy 12 year old. No parent would
ever think to bring extra clothing for your young adult.
This problem is very different from bed-wetters they need
something most parents could never even dream of and we are
the only company that even offers its unique solution. See
section #3
OLDER REMEDIES
Years ago parents knew it was important to stop bed-
wetting and daytime wetting as Quickly as possible although
their remedy's were extreme they did actually work. Daytime
wetting was completely unheard of and bed- wetting was on
average less than half of what it is today. Our remedies use
much of the same principals but are a lot more conservative.
We feel that the following remedies are more like
punishments and are simply unreasonable. In parts of the
world these remedies are still being used.
Children who had a wet bed in the morning normally got
a severe spanking either by hand or with an object. Moms
used a hair brush or a belt and dads used their hands or a
stick. If the father discovered the wet bed he was the one
who would take the child and rub their nose in the wet bed.
Sometimes the parents would take the child and make them sit
on the toilet with their wet underwear on top of their
heads. Most parents used to hang their child's wet bed
sheets out the window so anybody passing 'by would know
there was a bedwetter in the house. Families that had more
than one child would also the child's wet clothing with the
wet bed sheet to show the bed-wetter was a boy or girl. Many
times the sheet would hang until the child came home from
school and could bring it in. The parents always made the
child do their own dirty laundry.
Parents who had babies in the family would often use
the babies diapers on the bed-wetters. There is nothing
wrong with using diapers to control a bed-wetter however
there is a limit. Parents would send their child out in
public wearing only a diaper. Some children would have to
march up and down the street in front of their homes wearing
only a diaper and carrying a sign that would usually read I
AM A BED-WETTER.
The idea behind these remedies is to use embarrassment
to bring his bed-wetting to his attention which is the
correct thing to do however the problem was it involved to
many people the child had to associate with and the
embarrassment stays with him long after he stops wetting his
bed. DRY TIMEs method uses embarrassment to bring his bed-
wetting to his attention and to control his behavior but we
do not involve people he closely associates with. His
embarrassment will only be with him only as long as he wets
his bed. We do involve his immediate family because they
already know about his bed-wetting.
Some parents would put moth balls in their child's
night diaper and not let the child out of his diaper until
morning. When urine would hit the moth balls there would be
a chemical reaction wish would cause a burning sensation
(very much like diaper rash) and this would wake the child.
The child usually could not return to sleep and he would
usually lay awake the rest of the night. The child normally
had to go to the bathroom but the more he wet the more the
diaper would burn. Children who had this done to them
usually had very bad diaper rash the next day.
Another form of treatment used electricity. The parent
would place a window screen on the Chills bed and put a
blanket over top. They would get the child's electric train
transformer and connect one wire to the screen and the other
wire to the child's ankles. The parents would tie the
child's wrists and legs to the bed posts and during the
night when he wet enough he was awakened by the electric
running through his body (voltage from a child's train
transformer is not enough to hurt the child but it did make
them very uncomfortable) and the child could not return to
sleep. The child usually had to go to the bathroom but the
more he wet the more electric would be flowing through him.
The parents would make the child stay in the condition until
morning no matter how much he pleaded. The child usually
fought to hold his urine and this kept his attention on his
bed-wetting the rest of the night.
The idea behind these remedies was to stretch his
bladder which would allow him to hold more urine during the
night. These remedies are very successful because they both
use embarrassment for control however the one wrong thing
they share in common (besides being excessive) is they did
not allow the child to get his proper amount of sleep. You
should not drastically change his sleep patterns or you will
effect his behavior usually for the worse. Our remedy is
called bladder stretching and there is no physical
punishment associated with it such as electric shock or
causing diaper rash.
SECTION #1
BED-WETTING AGE 4 - 6
Many children wet the bed at this age, although it is
not normal, the key is conditioning your child to wake
before he wets the bed.
YOU WILL NEED:
DIAPER ALARM - A diaper alarm is exactly what it sounds like
it is. Diaper alarms fit under the diaper when your child
wets the moisture hits the alarm and makes a very loud
beeping sound which is designed to wake any sleeping child.
There are many types of diaper alarms so you will need help
buying this item. Go to a medical supply store and tell them
you want a diaper alarm that will fit under a diaper.
PLASTIC SHEET - You can get this at any department store. It
is a fitted sheet made out of plastic and covers your
child's mattress and protects the bed from urine when your
child wets or messes. This item is used for all the types of
wetting and messing.
REMEDY: Give the child all the drinks he wants during the
day, but no liquids after 5pm then put a plastic sheet on
the child's bed and every night before bedtime make him sit
on the toilet for 10 minutes. Position the diaper alarm
between the top sheet and the plastic sheet and when he wets
the bed the alarm will sound and the child will wake up then
put him on the potty for 10 minutes. Change his clothing and
bedding. Since the alarm will probably sound at 2am you will
want to put clean clothes and linens on top of his dresser
the night before. Only use the diaper alarm twice in one
night and if he wets a third time let him go until morning.
Waking the child more than two times in one night will make
him tired the next day. Continue doing this until you have a
dry bed every night for 2 weeks. Once your child stops
wetting the bed he will probably not start again.
If the child wets more than 3 nights a week it is a
good idea to use bladder exercises. Get two pair of his
underwear and undress him put both pair of underwear on him
with no other clothes and position the diaper alarm between
his two pair of underwear unfold a trash bag and make him
stand on the trash bag. Give him two 8oz. glasses of water
and make him hold his urine for 1 hour to start. Don't let
him use the toilet until the hour is up. This will help
stretch the bladder so he will be able to hold his urine
better at night decreasing the bed-wetting. Every day
increase the time by 5 minutes until he is unable to hold it
in. If he wets himself continue to make him hold it as best
he can. After the time is up let him go to the bathroom.
When he reaches the point where he wets himself because he
can't hold it in then stop increasing the time and use the
same time again until he successfully holds it for 3 days
straight. Then start adding time again. It is important you
do this early in the afternoon so this will not increase the
amount he wets at night.
SECTION #2
BED-WETTING AGE 7 - 15
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR A NORMAL CHILD TO WET THE BED AT
THIS AGE. The older the child the more serious the problem!
You must take drastic actions to stop this behavior as
quickly as possible. You need to take a very firm position
with your child.
YOU WILL NEED:
DIAPERS - You must measure the child's waist and have
and idea what your child weighs. You should go to a
department store and try the baby department first. If you
ask a sales clerk for assistance be aware they are going to
try to sell you training pants or bed-wetter pants this is
not what you need insist on diapers. If baby diapers do not
go to your child's size do not give up, simply go to the
pharmacy where you will find diapers with sizes that reach
up to adult. They might be called disposable briefs. All you
have to do is look at the picture on the package and if it
looks like a diaper it will work. Do not buy disposable
undergarments these will not work either. Sometimes, before
you make your purchase the store will let you open the
container and look at them closely.
DIAPER PAIL - You can get one at any department store. Do
not buy a diaper genie because it will not work and you will
not get the effect you are looking for.
PLASTIC SHEET - You can get this at any department store. It
is a fitted sheet made out of plastic and covers your
child's mattress and protects the bed from urine when your
child wets or messes. This item is used for all the types of
wetting and messing.
RED PERMANENT MARKER - When you purchase a red permanent
marker make sure it will be permanent on plastic and on
paper. Red is a very bright color easily seen from across
the room.
STAPLER - A portable paper stapler will work just fine. If
your don't have one you can get it at any department store.
REMEDY: The single most important tool in ending Bed-wetting
is discipline. If the child does not listen to you then the
following methods will be useless. So the 1st thing you must
do is gain total control. You must be a very firm parent and
he must learn your the boss. The best way to gain control is
through embarrassment. Buy a package of diapers and put one
on him then model him around your home in just his diaper.
Stand him in front of a mirror and let him see how silly he
looks then make all immediate family members aware that he
is going to wear diapers at night until he stops wetting his
bed. The more brothers and sisters he has the more effect
this will have on him especially if they are older. Use this
embarrassment to your advantage, not only will he stop
wetting the bed, but you will have much better behavior from
him.
Take a picture of him in just his diaper and have it
developed. Get two copies of the picture developed keep one
and give the other to your child. Tell him he must obey you
or you will show the picture to some of his friends. Anytime
he doesn't behave make the threat again. If you have to make
the threat more than two times really show it to one of his
friends you will never have any trouble with him again. He
will quickly have an attitude change when he finds out you
are serious.
Take him to a local shopping mall with his diaper on
under his street clothes and spend the entire evening, this
will make him docile and you will quickly see behavior
differences. No child this age will want to misbehave while
wearing baby diapers in public. The child will think that
everybody who looks his way will know he is in a diaper. You
will know this is silly but never tell your child. This
embarrassment will be a good tool in gaining control of your
child. Most children will come to attention simply by
threatening to repeat the ordeal however there are some
stubborn children who actually must have it repeated. If the
child becomes undisciplined again repeat the procedure but
this time make him wet the diaper before you leave the
house. This is guaranteed to bring total discipline to any
child.
Put a plastic sheet on your child's bed and remove all
the clothing from your child's bedroom and keep them in your
room, don't let him go in. You will control everything the
child wears from now on. You should pick out all of his
clothing just like you did when he was a baby.
Put a diaper pail in his room in a place that is
visible from the main entrance. Keep all dirty diapers in
the pail and don't empty it until it is full. The smell acts
as a constant reminder of his bed-wetting. The more you
remind him of his bed-wetting the harder he will try to
stop.
The more a bed-wetter drinks, the more he wets the bed
so it is important that every time you see him drinking you
mention his bed-wetting even if it is in front of his
friends. Do not limit the amount he drinks because he will
quickly learn to do this on his own.
1 hour before bed time take him to the bathroom and
remove all of his clothing then sit him on the toilet for 10
minutes while you supervise then take him to his room. Make
him lay on his bed on his back while you put his dirty
clothing in your bed room hamper. Get a fresh diaper, T-
shirt and his diaper alarm and return to his room, put the
diaper alarm in the middle of his diaper then put it on him
then let him put his own T-shirt on. Give him some chores to
do where he will be visible to other family members. One of
the chores should be to make him do his own dirty laundry.
At night when you hear the sound of the diaper alarm
you must march him to the toilet and remove his diaper. Make
him sit on the toilet 10 minutes and when he is finished, if
the diaper is not too wet, put it back on him otherwise
diaper him with a fresh diaper. Do not use the diaper alarm
the rest of the night if he wets again just let him go.
Waking him more than more than once in a night will just
make him tired the next day. Now is a good time to talk
about his bed-wetting and let him know you seriously intend
to keep up the diapering for three weeks after he stops
wetting the bed also ask him how much he had to drink the
night before. Let him go back to sleep and have a good
night.
When the child is home never let him wear anything
other than his diaper and T-shirt. The whole idea of the
diaper is to keep him aware of his bedwetting and if you
cover it up with his clothes he will be less aware of it.
Remember parents who keep their children's bed-wetting quiet
are responsible when the child continues to bed-wet for many
more years. The whole reason you are going through with this
is to stop him as quickly as possible.
Hang a calendar (one with block for each day) in his
bed room visible from the main entrance. If he wet his
diaper during the night mark the calendar WET in big bold
letters with a red permanent marker. At this time remind him
that he will be in diapers at least three more weeks. After
he has stopped wetting completely do not remove the
calendar, keep it hanging in his bedroom until it runs out
because every time his looks at it he will remember what he
went through and he will try harder not to repeat it.
Your child is school age so during summer break in the
mornings leave his night diaper and T-shirt on him and have
him join the family for breakfast at the breakfast table. If
his diaper is wet start a family discussion about his bed-
wetting. Do not change the child until noon unless his
diaper begins to leak. On WEEKENDS keep him at home in just
his diapers and T-shirt all day. Give him plenty of water
and foods high in fiber so he will wet and mess in his
diaper. Do not let him use the toilet instead make him use
his diaper. Beware at this age your child is clever and will
realize that he can untape his diaper to use the bathroom
when your not around. There is a simple remedy, when you put
his diaper on him pull it snug before you tape the ends.
Then staple the tapes to the diaper on both sides and take
your red marker and draw a line from the tape to the diaper
this way if he unfastens the tapes he will not be able to
match the staple holes and the red line from the marker.
Write the day of the week on the back of his diaper so if he
switches the entire diaper he will not be able to copy your
handwriting. Tell the child is he removes his diaper you
will show his diaper photo to his friends. You must show the
photo if he does remove the diaper or the next time you use
the threat he will not listen.
When school is in session your child will stop wetting
the bed a lot faster than he would during the summer. Treat
the weekends the same way as above but treat the school days
a little different. On school mornings keep him in his night
diaper and T-shirt until after breakfast. If he did not wet
his diaper at all during the night then 10 minutes before he
has to leave for school take him to his room and give him
his clean clothes and let him get dressed. Make sure he puts
his diaper in the pail. Do not let him wash or use the
toilet just send him to school as he is. He will have to
hold his urine until he gets to school which will help with
his bladder exercise.
If his diaper is wet on a school morning then do the
same as above except 5 minutes before he has to leave take
him to his room and remove his T-shirt. Check his diaper and
if it is not too wet unfasten the tapes and pull them snug.
If the diaper is too wet get a fresh one and tape it on him
snug. Staple the tapes to the diaper on both sides and mark
it with your red marker and also mark his calendar WET. Do
not forget to write the day of the week on the back of his
diaper. Give him his clean clothes (with out his clean
underwear) and tell him to get dressed. Do not let him use
the toilet or get washed up you must send him to school
exactly as he is. Wearing a diaper to school will probably
be the biggest incentive he will have to keep his bed dry.
Remind him of his diaper photo and tell him not to remove
the diaper at school. This step will accomplish more than
one thing, he will be more conscious of his bed-wetting and
he will want to stop more than ever which means he will try
harder and it will also help with his bladder exercise. He
will be unable to use the toilet so he will try his hardest
to hold his urine the entire day and in addition he will
also begin to limit his own drinking. Your child is
guaranteed to make sure that no one discovers he is wearing
diapers to school so do not worry about this. If your child
comes home from school with a dry diaper then ask him why he
can keep it dry at school but not at night? Do not let him
change until he soaks the diaper.
If you child ever removes any of his diapers without
your permission invite one of your friends or close
relatives to your house on a weekend when all he will be
wearing is a diaper and a T-shirt and make him spend time
with both of you. You can even ask them is they want to
change his diaper? He will not like this and he will
probably not remove his diaper again.
If he removes a diaper you stapled on him then you
should make him spend the rest of the day in his diaper
only. Don't let him use the potty, make him use his diaper.
If someone comes to the door make him answer the door no
matter who it is. Your child will never remove his diaper
without your permission ever again.
Give him an two 8oz. glasses of
water to drink and make him hold his urine for 1 hour to
start. Each night increase the time by 5 minutes until he is
unable to hold his urine. Do not increase the time until you
have 3 days in a row where he does not wet. When he wets
himself do not turn the diaper alarm off and don't let him
use the potty make him continue until his time is up. While
the alarm is sounding it will bring unwanted attention to
him and he will be thinking he should have held it longer
and the next time he will. This exercise will stretch his
bladder so he will be able to hold more urine during the
night which will decrease his bed-wetting. It is important
you do this early in the afternoon so this will not increase
the amount he wets at night.
SECTION #3
INFANTILISM AGE 4 - 15
INFANTILISM - A condition in which mental growth is
retarded. Child usually begins to wet and/or mess themselves
and sometimes uses behavior that was not displayed since he
was a baby.
The leading cause of this problem is change such as;
adding a sibling to the family, divorce and/or moving from
one house to another. This problem is very different from
bed-wetting under these circumstances the child feels he has
lost his place in the family so in an attempt to regain your
attention he starts sub-consciously wetting and/or messing
(w/m) himself. Sometimes daytime w/m may look deliberate but
it is actually done sub-consciously and the child even
though awake is not aware of it until after it is over. This
is most likely to occur when the child is engaged in
activity such as watching TV or playing outside. The parents
think this is done out of laziness because they did not want
to go to the bathroom. It is actually a form of sub-
conscious attention seeking.
Some children seem to have no reason to start w/m again
but you must remember that problems you think are trivial
are catastrophes to our children even changing their daily
routines could cause them to act like this. Some children
will look you straight in the eye while they squat down and
w/m themselves. Other children will have a w/m bed before
they are even asleep although these examples seem to be
deliberate they are really not. The more you punish a child
who does this the more they will do it.
Your child is actually reliving his infantile state of
mind without even realizing it. The child is trying to get
the attention he once received when he was a baby. Instead
of punishing him you should go along with it. Start treating
your child like a baby when he acts like one. This sounds
ridiculous and absurd but try it and in a couple of weeks he
will realize that this kind of attention is not really the
kind he wanted. If you do not do anything about this problem
it will surely get worse. Think how embarrassed you will
feel when your child w/m himself at the mall. You will not
only be embarrassed for yourself but you will feel for him
as well.
The idea of this treatment is for your child to realize
how ridiculous and embarrassing being treated like a baby
can. Initially he will actually enjoy the attention but it
will not take long for him to change his mind. This
treatment could last one day or up to 4 weeks depending on
your child. Our remedy is simply to make him hate to be
babied and he will stop w/m himself.
YOU WILL NEED:
Baby bib
Baby bottle
DIAPERS - You must measure the child's waist and have and
idea what your child weighs. You should go to a department
store and try the baby department first. If you ask a sales
clerk for assistance be aware they are going to try to sell
you training pants or bed-wetter pants this is not what you
need insist on diapers. If baby diapers do not go to your
child's size do not give up, simply go to the pharmacy where
you will find diapers with sizes that reach up to adult.
They might be called disposable briefs. All you have to do
is look at the picture on the package and if it looks like a
diaper it will work. Do not buy disposable undergarments
these will not work either. Sometimes before you make your
purchase the store will let you open the container and look
at them closely.
DIAPER PAIL - You can get one at any department store. Do
not buy a diaper genie because it will not work you will not
get the effect you are looking for.
High chair
Pacifier
PLASTIC SHEET - You can get this at any department store. It
is a fitted sheet made out of plastic and covers your
child's mattress and protects the bed from urine when your
child wets or messes. This item is used for all the types of
wetting and messing.
RED PERMANENT MARKER - When you purchase a red permanent
marker make sure it will be permanent on plastic and on
paper. Red is a very bright color easily seen from across
the room.
STAPLER - A portable paper stapler will work just fine. If
your don't have one you can get it at any department store.
REMEDY: Go shopping for diapers and other baby supplies (if
you already have a baby then probably all you need is
diapers). Do not buy a large quantity of diapers at first
because we offer a chance for your child to back out on the
very first day. Do not buy training pants or Goodnites it is
very important to buy diapers because your child will not
identify with anything but diapers. When you get home put
the baby items in your bedroom and do not let the child know
what you are up to.
The very next time your child w/m surprise him with the
baby items take him to his bedroom and sit him on his bed
then unpack the baby items while he watches you. Tell him if
he acts like a baby you will gladly treat him like one. Do
this with a very calm serious attitude. Your child will
probably pitch a fit but deep down inside your child will be
excited because this is what his sub-conscious really wants.
Continue to get his room ready for his second babyhood.
Place a diaper pail in the child's room in view of the main
entrance. Keep all his soiled diapers in the pail also if
you have a baby keep the babies soiled diapers in the pail
as well and do not empty his pail until it is very full. Do
not use a diaper genie because you want the room to smell
and a diaper genie eliminates the odor. The smell is a very
important tool in this treatment. Smelling dirty diapers all
night will not be very pleasant for your child but it is
important. Put a plastic sheet on your child's bed and
remove all the child's underwear from his room. Keep the
clean diapers and underwear in your bedroom out of his
access. Your room is now off limits to your child.
STEP 1 Remove your child's dirty clothes and take him
to the toilet then make him sit on it for 10 minutes while
you stand there and watch. Hold his soiled underwear in
front of his face and tell him this is why you are treating
him like a baby, other children his age don't w/m their
underwear. After toilet time take him back to his room and
literally diaper him like you did when he was a baby. Stand
him in front of a mirror in just a diaper and let him see
how silly he looks. Take a picture of him and get it
developed (Double prints) as soon as possible. Tell him if
he does not do as you say you will show the picture to his
friends at school. Put a short shirt that does not cover the
entire diaper on him then parade him around your house so
all the family members can see him. Have the family assemble
in the living room and display him in front them. Show off
his soiled underpants and explain that he is w/m more and
more so you decided to treat him like the baby he is acting
like. Encourage all the other family members to also chime
in. Inform him that the next time he w/m he will be wearing
diapers full time just like a baby. When you are done with
the family meeting put his clothes over his new diaper and
send him back to whatever he was doing when he w/m his
underpants.
The first day is the most important this will determine
the length of time you must go on with this. Keep him
diapered until his bedtime and do not let him use the potty
instead he must go in his diaper. Do not change him whenever
he w/m let him wear the dirty diaper for a while. If you
change him too often he will not be learning a lesson. At
bed time let him take his bath and have his regular
bedclothes and send him to bed like nothing happened. Remind
him once again that you intend to do this again if he w/m
himself again. This is the first chance he has to stop the
treatment and act his age again. The next time he is w/m it
means he wants to continue the treatment and you must go all
the way for the next two weeks.
If your child does not w/m himself within a week he is
probably cured remove the plastic sheet and diaper pail from
his room you are done.
If your child w/m himself within a week after step 1
then take the next step.
STEP 2 You will follow this step for two weeks if the child
is currently attending School and four weeks if your child
is not. Remove all the clothing from his bedroom again add
the plastic sheet, the diaper pail and this time hang a
calendar on his bedroom wall so it is visible from the main
entrance.
You will keep him diapered for 24 hours a day and is
only allowed in the bathroom when you are giving him a bath.
He must use the diaper to wet and mess and he is not allowed
to remove the diaper. Do not change him too frequently or
you will be defeating the purpose!
TAMPER PROOFING HIS DIAPER
To tamper proof his diaper simply put the diaper on him
and pull the tapes for a very snug fit. Staple the tapes on
each side and draw a line from the tape to the diaper. After
he is in his diaper write his name on the back of the diaper
and do not tell him what you wrote. If he removes the diaper
he will not be able to line up the staple holes with the red
line and you will know he removed his diaper. He will not be
able to switch the diaper for a fresh one because you have
written his name in your handwriting! Whenever he is out of
your sight for any amount of time you should check to see if
the diaper was tampered with. Remind him of the diaper photo
you took and let him know you will show the photo to one of
his friends!
REMOVING THE DIAPER
The first time your child removes his own diaper you
will have to show the diaper photo to one of his friends, if
you do not you will lose control of the situation. You must
make good on your threats in order to let him know you are
serious!
If he ever removes his diaper again you will put the
diaper back on him (even if it is w/m) and make him wear it
without anything else. Plan a trip to the mall the next day.
Before you leave get him to drink as many glasses of water
as you can then take a pin and poke eight holes in the
diaper right at the legs on both sides. Dress him up and
take him shopping to a mall. Take your time and stay until
the mall closes and keep him with you the whole time. Do not
listen to him when he says he has to go to the bathroom.
Make sure he understands that this is punishment for
removing his diapers. Do not leave the mall until it closes
or at least one half hour after his diaper is dripping wet.
Other people seeing him wet will have a good effect on him,
at this point he will probably be ready to stop the
treatment but you must continue the full time. If he finds
that he can turn you off and on you might have a part time
baby on you hands and the object is to make him hate being
babied.
Each day you will mark his calendar with a red X and
always remind him how many days he has left. You will make
him eat all of his meals out of a babies high chair and
drink all his liquids out of a baby bottle. When he objects
shove the pacifier in his mouth and make him keep it there.
Remind him of the diaper photo. Give him a bath each night
but not any other time.
Ground him for the weekends and just keep him in a
diaper and his short shirt. Do not let him go anywhere,
remind him that babies do not get to go outside and play!
Make him wear his night diaper at least until 11:00 am
unless it is leaky.
If he is currently attending school send him to school
with diapers on under his school clothes remember to TAMPER
PROOF his diaper. If he removes a diaper at school follow
the REMOVING THE DIAPER steps and the next school day send
him to school in his night diaper even if it is w/m. Do not
allow him to wash up before he leaves. He will never do this
again. Make sure to check his diaper when he comes home from
school and check to make sure that the diaper was not
tampered with.
You must follow these steps for the entire time no
matter how your child pleads. If you do not finish you are
not going to accomplish your goal which is to make him grow
up. Your child will go back to w/m himself because he knows
he can get away with it.
